Lanolin also known as wool wax, wool yolk, or wool grease, is a wax secreted by the sebaceous glands of domestic sheep breeds. Lanolin has extreme waterproofing properties that prevent moisture loss and is an important nutrient for skin. Elastin is a fibrous protein found in human connective tissue. Elastin assists in skin elasticity by allowing it to resume its shape after stretching.
